On the final Friday of each month, we’re going to set an Excel / Power BI challenge for you to puzzle over so that you can get your “Excel fix”. Challenge your office colleagues to see who can solve the puzzle quickest. There are no prizes at this stage: you’re playing for bragging rights only!
This month’s challenge revisits two previous ideas, multiple number formatting using conditional formatting and conditionally formatting chart axes. You have probably guessed, if we are happy to give you the links to similar problems, then the solution to this month’s challenge might be a little different…
The Challenge
To make things easier for you, let’s provide you with an Excel starter file with pre-formatted chart data (all of the following inputs are numbers typed in, not text):
All you have to do is create the associated Excel chart with replicated label formatting:
